Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the development and maintenance of knowledge bases (including Knowledge Own all event strategy, calendar, ideation, budgeting, timelines, and logistics for various events

• Lead and own events of all sizes such as user conferences, trade shows, workshops, internal events, VIP dinners, external corporate events, and roadshows:

- User conferences (e.g. Orbit)

- Trade shows and industry conferences

- Strategic events (e.g. executive roundtables, webinars)

- Field programs (e.g. dinners, virtual roadshows, etc.)

- ABM programs for our select accounts

• Conceptualize events as key marketing initiatives designed to produce measurable results

• Build and nurture key relationships with multiple target audiences that will enable us to get more visibility through events

• With the help of your team, manage and track project schedules for each events, deadlines, agendas, speaking engagements, and flows, as well as negotiate with and manage vendors (booth setup, giveaways, collateral, registration, travel, etc.)

• Lead cross-functional work with marketing, sales, customer success, and senior leadership team to create an effective yearlong strategy and plan

• Work with the Brand and Growth teams to develop and execute comprehensive event strategies to amplify our brand, drive demand, and accelerate sales opportunities.

• Develop and manage Planet DDS’ presence at key conferences, with a focus on creating engaging and unique experiences

• With the help of your team, identify and secure suitable venues, negotiate contracts, and oversee all aspects of venue logistics for Planet DDS-owned events

• Work with Growth team to create marketing plans, manage promotional campaigns, and leverage digital and traditional marketing channels to maximize event attendance and reach

• Implement quality control measures to ensure events meet or exceed client and attendee expectations

• Conduct post-event evaluations and wrap-up, deliver clean lists of qualified leads, and ensure a smooth handover to sales

• Plan and host online and offline field marketing activities to create net-new sales opportunities, accelerate existing sales opportunities, and deepen our existing customer relationships.

Required Skills and Abilities

• 10-12 years of prior event management experience and/or field marketing

• Previous experience as a senior-level marketer at a SaaS company

• Creative spark as expressed in ideas for messaging, creative design, etc.

• Self-starter with a proactive and hands on mindset

• A highly results-oriented approach, with motivation to meet and exceed objectives

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

• Maniacal attention to detail, strong project management, and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and make quick, strategic decisions

• Ability to travel as needed

• Required to sit for prolonged periods of time
