Trust is our currency, collaboration is our edge, and impact is our fuel. If you’re ready to grow fast, challenge the status quo, and help reinvent an entire industry, Planet DDS is where you belong.
The Implementation Solutions Consultant will lead the onboarding of dental and orthodontic customers ranging from small independent practices to large multi-site organizations. This role sits at the intersection of technical configuration and project leadership you'll design workflows, configure systems, advise customers on dental and orthodontic practice management best practices, and coordinate across internal teams to drive successful go-lives. You'll also play a role in shaping and improving our implementation methodology as our processes mature.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end implementation projects for customers of varying size and complexity, from single-location practices to large multi-site organizations.
Design and configure system workflows tailored to each customer's practice model and operational needs.
Consult with customers on industry best practices for dental and orthodontic practice management workflows during onboarding.
Collaborate cross-functionally (Training, Support, Product, Account Management) to keep implementations on track and ensure a smooth go-live.
Operate fluidly between hands-on technical configuration and project management responsibilities — timelines, stakeholder communication (including executive levels), risk mitigation.
Identify friction points in the implementation process and feed insights back into ongoing process improvement efforts.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
2–4 years of experience in software implementation (SaaS strongly preferred).
Comfort operating across both technical (system configuration) and interpersonal/PM (client-facing delivery) responsibilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical configuration into plain, actionable guidance for customers.
This role requires someone who operates independently and exercises strong judgment — someone who identifies issues and drives solutions rather than waiting for direction. We're looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks, and solves the problem at hand.
- The strongest candidates will bring a mix of consulting instincts, project discipline, and genuine curiosity about dental and orthodontic workflows. Specifically, we look for people who:
- Ask sharp questions upfront and translate the answers into a clear project plan without being hand-held.
- Communicate with confidence at all levels, from front office staff to customer executives.
- Stay composed when implementations get complicated, and solve problems rather than escalate them.
- Have enough technical depth to configure systems confidently, and enough emotional intelligence to bring customers along through the process.
- Treat process improvement as part of the job, not someone else's problem.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in dental, orthodontic, or adjacent healthcare IT environments.
- Familiarity with practice management workflows including scheduling, billing, and clinical documentation.
- Exposure to multi-site or enterprise customer implementations.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit for prolonged periods of time
